- There's an election going on in Tanzania at the moment. The incumbent has locked up anyone able to challenge her in the polls and is practically the only choice on the ballot. Poll protests erupted and have escalated to an estimated 700 deaths in 2 days - This is very uncharacteristic of Tanzanians, they are very polite and subdued. Unfortunately, there's almost no way to get information on what's going on since the Internet is completely blocked (Starlink is illegal too and doesn't work) and the TV stations are down. What's the best way to mitigate this and allow information to flow out of such a situation? Can there be a decentralised peer to peer network (ad-hoc?) that can be used to bridge across hundreds of KMs to another country?
